Notes from King Chiikawa
Nara is famous for the free-roaming deer of Nara Park, where visitors often feed them shika senbei (鹿せんべい), special rice crackers made for the deer. The crackers are one of the most recognizable parts of the Nara deer experience, and this mascot references that tradition by depicting Usagi holding one.
