Notes from King Chiikawa
Yatsuhashi (八ツ橋) is one of Kyoto's best-known traditional confections. Available as either a crisp cinnamon-flavored biscuit or the soft, folded sweet filled with red bean paste known as nama yatsuhashi, it has become a signature souvenir of Kyoto enjoyed by visitors from across Japan.
