Notes from King Chiikawa

The Shinsengumi (新選組) was a special police force formed in Kyoto during Japan's late Edo period. Best known for their distinctive blue-and-white uniforms and their role in maintaining order on behalf of the Tokugawa shogunate, they remain one of Kyoto's most enduring historical symbols and are frequently featured in the city's souvenirs and popular culture.
