Notes from King Chiikawa
Momiji Manju (もみじ饅頭) is Hiroshima's most famous confection, a maple leaf-shaped cake traditionally filled with sweet red bean paste. Inspired by the maple trees of Miyajima, it has become one of the prefecture's most iconic souvenirs and a symbol of Hiroshima's local culture.
