Notes from King Chiikawa

Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社) is one of Kyoto's most famous shrines, renowned for its thousands of vermilion torii gates. Dedicated to Inari, the Shinto deity of rice and prosperity, the shrine is closely associated with foxes, which are believed to be Inari's messengers. This design combines the shrine's iconic fox imagery with Inari sushi, a traditional dish closely associated with the shrine.
